October 15, 2012. Chicago. 16 US veterans commit suicide every single day. Let’s repeat that statistic so it sinks in – 16 US veterans commit suicide every single day. Why? Because war is hell. And because America has a bad habit of sending its sons and daughters across the globe to fight, and then conveniently tossing them aside when their bodies and minds are damaged. This week, there’s a fundraiser being held to give something back to America’s wounded warriors.
