The Robin Hoods of New Hampshire, and around the country, might need to find a new line of work soon. The photo above are the new meters that are popping up in major cities across the country. These meters require a person to print out a time-stamped ticket, and place the ticket inside their car. This would eliminate the ability to follow a meter maid around, putting coins in the machine before they can write their tickets.
It might take longer for smaller towns to roll these out, but it won’t be long. They’re cheaper than maintaining dozens, sometimes hundreds of individual meters in a small town. It’s also easier on the city, not having to collect coins from all the older individual meters.
